Configuring the Lasernet Connector is the recommended third step in the setup process.
Before you can configure the Lasernet Connector, you will need to install it in your D365 environment. You will also need to log into D365 using an account with System Administrator privileges.
You can install the connector via LCS or a command prompt on the AOS server.
- Log into your D365 environment via a browser.
- Go to Lasernet – Common – Backup – Import Lasernet Backup
- Browse to where you have saved the default configuration for D365 (.xml file)
- Keep everything checked/highlighted. Click OK
- Pick the legal entity you want to install the configuration to, and click OK. If you have more than one legal entity, finish the configuration with one entity and then copy it to other legal entities later.
- Go to Lasernet – Setup – Administration – Environments
- Delete any test environments
- Click New
- Give your environment a name.
***Make sure that the URL matches the URL you use to log into your D365 environment***
- Go to Lasernet – Setup – Administration – Connections
- Delete any old connections in the list
- Click New and type AzureServiceBus in the Connection ID field.
- Choose Azure service bus queue in the Connection Type drop-down.
- Choose Environment ID in the drop-down.
- Paste the connection string you copied from the Shared Access Policy in Azure into the Connection string field
- Choose Queue name in the drop-down (Should match the Entity Path added in the Lasernet Developer)
- Click Validate
- Click New and type AzureStorage in the Connection ID field.
- Choose Storage in the Connection Type drop-down.
- Choose Environment ID in the drop-down.
- Choose D365 Storage in the Type drop-down.
***If you want to use a regular Azure Storage Blob, pick Azure Storage and paste the connection string***
- Type lasernet in the Instance name field
- Click Validate
- Go to Lasernet – Setup – Administration – Lasernet Servers
- Delete any test server(s)
- Click New
- Type Lasernet in the Server field
- Add a Description
- Pick all options under Default for
- Choose your AzureServiceBus from the Outgoing Connection setup in the drop-down.
- Choose your AzureStorage connection name in the drop-down for D365 connection reports storage.
- Choose Azure Storage in the drop-down for

- Toggle the Active switch
- Click Validate
- Click Validate All
- Click Update Data
- Look in the Lasernet Monitor for potential errors
